Last night we welcomed songwriter and producer Ron Flieger onto Electronic Beats On Air. You may remember him from his previous Mix of the Day in which we first got acquainted with his turbo-powered blog pop reworkings. Perhaps it’s something to do with his background—Flieger was born in Germany but has spent time in London, Europe, and America—but his uplifting sound has international appeal; you can easily imagine this kind of dance pop hitting the spot in any club which has a big enough system to take it. This original version-shy mix features a number of his own remixes as well as other artist’s reworks and features a mouthwatering line-up of oh-so-hot-right-now artists, including Lorde, Haim, Chvrches, and London Grammar with Disclosure. This week we welcome songwriter and producer Ron Flieger onto Electronic Beats On Air.
Born in Germany but schooled in London, with formative years spent across Europe and America, it’s no surprise that Flieger makes huge, uplifting dance pop has little truck with geographical boundaries: you can imagine his music hitting the spot in any club which has a big enough system to take it.
Flieger will be talking to Mathias Weck about his singer-songwriter background, what role pop plays in his musical approach and his current Crystal Fighters remix which he’s giving away via his Facebook page. As well as introducing some of his favorite tracks, he’ll be playing an hour long set in the second half of the show. Hold tight.
You can tune in to FluxFM on Thursday from 10 p.m. (CET) which, if you’re in Berlin, can be found at 100.6 FM. If If you’re outside Germany you can, like always, head to the stream at fluxfm.de.
